Types of contributions
All the communications (oral, SLAM, poster) are in English.
The POSTER size is 80 cm (width) x 100 cm (length). The numbered list of posters will be reported in the final program available on the conference website.
For the ORAL PRESENTATION you will have 10 minutes (10 minutes for presentation + 2 minutes for the questions), while for the SLAM you will have 5 minutes (no questions).
What is SLAM?
SLAM is an engaging oral presentation that is thought to be delivered to non-experts in your field. AMYC-BIOMED is the unique multidisciplinary meeting where all sessions are composed by young researchers with different background. The goal of a SLAM is to provide the audience a comprehensive pack of information which contains context, theory, application, impact and anchor-points for researchers of different disciplines.All the experimental aspects like optimization studies should be avoided to make the SLAM less technical and more broad. The duration is limited to 5 minutes, no questions are allowed following the SLAM, but all discussions are encouraged within the meeting. The number of slides is limited to a single slide, an impressive slide which displays the major information for the audience, because SLAM is encouraging the speaker-audience interaction, this is not a short oral, this is a way to be impressive on those people working on other fields.Of course you can use animations if you prefer, but taking into account what SLAM means.
!!! VERY IMPORTANT INFO: At the moment of the registration, all the participants are indicated to choose a type of contribution. The scientific committee will decide about this attribution, so the final type of contribution could differ from initial selection.
Fellowships
Some divisions of Società Chimica Italiana will provide 34 fellowships to cover the cost of registration for young associates. In this section you will find instructions to apply, the deadline is 30th June 2024.

You are required to apply on the website of Divisione di Chimica Analitica, following the instructions and deadline (https://www.soc.chim.it/it/divisioni/analitica/borse_amycbiomed2024), deadline 30th of June 2024.
For the fellowships from:
- Divisione di Elettrochimica - 5 fellowships
- Divisione di Chimica Farmaceutica - 5 fellowships
- Divisione di Chimica Inorganica - 5 fellowships
- Divisione di Chimica Organica - 5 fellowships
- Divisione di Tecnologia Farmaceutica - 5 fellowships
- Divisione di Chimica dei Sistemi Biologici - 2 fellowships
- Divisione di Chimica Fisica - 2 fellowships
You have to send an email to amycbiomed@gmail.com including "Receipt of payment", "Short CV", "SCI membership number", "Abstract", until the 30th of June 2024. The object of the email will be "Divisione di XXX_Name Surname".
Awards
Each category will be awarded with 2 awards (100 Eur each) for best (oral, SLAM, poster) and, depending on the quality of contribution, also a special mention will be assigned for all the categories.
Social activity and dinner
Social activity (a tour in Rome) will be scheduled on Monday 23 September 2024. The social dinner will be scheduled on Tuesday 24 September 2024. Participants will be informed soon.
